I start to cringe slightly at the "AHHHHHH" and know for certain I will have to bring my bag of tricks with me to assist in any unknown situation.
"Ah, Rachael? Can you bring me a plastic bag?" he shouts out from the front yard. Bewildered by his need for a plastic bag I rush to retrieve one and handed it right over; only to find what he had picked up.... this:
"What!?! Um, honey be careful. Don't let it bite you. We don't know if its poisonous or not." I warned him.
"I know, that's why I asked for the plastic bag." he says.
"Well, plastic isn't going to protect you from that." I laughed.
"Well, he doesn't have long enough fangs to do anything to me," he bantered back.
"Hurry and go grab your camera! Take a picture of this thing" he insisted.
I responded with, "Okay okay." As I rushed inside thinking "it's only a matter of time, right?"
I came outside to him readjusting the bag around the snake's head and holding out his tail to show me the length and color pattern of the skin.
EWWWW. "Take the pictures and run" I thought. But no he wanted to identify online what type of snake. Yup you guessed it....the snake came with him. The best thing to do is not show a reaction....stay calm and collect. I did what I could and we found out the snake was harmless. STILL, its a snake. Slithery, fast and unwanted by me in my home.

Oh this makes me laugh. He had fun with his adventure with the snake and let him go in the woods.
Let's just hope no more show up!!!
