Privet Drive

I found this idea on DatingDivas.com. I stumbled over this awesome website through a gal I followed on her awesome crafts. She was ending her craft blogging days to start up the dating divas with her friends. As I was sad to see the crafts end, I found myself looking forward to "Dating My Husband" again. Throw the spark back into the relationship. What a grand idea. These ladies are dedicated in posting different ideas every week! Splendid. You should check them out!!

I've spent many hours reading through their ideas and have bookmarked my favorites.

Privet Drive was one that I just had to do since Brandon & I love reading books together and Harry Potter is one on our list that we've enjoyed.

The opening of the last movie (first part of two) was coming out. So I researched the internet and found the different recipes that Harry Potter would eat. I made up a Stew, Butter Beer and Braided Bread.
I had this all planned out and he didn't know it. I made up a special card with Harry Potters address on the envelope and wrote inside asking him to buy two tickets to the movie for the next night.

I left the note in the bathroom where he would find it for the next morning. While he was away at work I got to working on the table decor.
I made Tom Riddle's diary by taking some of my small recipe books and wrapped them in scrapbook paper to make them look old. Found some old black framed glasses. Made a snake by rolling the paper diagonal and then scrunching it...glued on some wiggle eyes. Bought Truffles. Black Socks, Tiara, Sword, and a fancy cup. . . this all to represent the different important things throughout the story.
It was a successful date! We had a blast and it was fun treating my man to a themed party!
